About Simon Carstensen

Simon Carstensen

My name is Simon Carstensen.

I have been starting projects since I was just a kid. I did it because I loved to explore what was possible and to see if I could push the boundaries just a little bit. Over time there’s been many different projects, but once I taught myself to make websites back in school, my focus turned firmly to the Internet. Since then I’ve started numbers of companies, both in Denmark and in the US.

In 2007 when I launched Jottit.com – an easy way to create websites for ordinary people – it was a huge success. Thousands of sites were created that day and users loved the product. It was truly an amazing feeling.

But during the following weeks, my feeling of success quickly turned to doubt. Was there really a need for our product and was the need great enough that people would actually pay for it? The truth was that I had spent 6 months of my life developing a product I didn’t know whether anyone actually had a need for.

This was the beginning of my passion for what makes some businesses thriving successes while others struggle for the slightest attention.

The help I offer my clients today is the result of all the experiences I’ve had through the years – of what works and what doesn’t.
