This is happening right now in my life. I don’t have anything to say. No next big ideas buzzing in my head. Just a lot of silence.

At first I panicked. ”The well has dried out! What if I’ll never create anything great ever again!” I started this huge drama around getting back to that wonderful place of creativity.

When I finally let go, relaxed and accepted the silence, something rather strange happened.

I started drawing cartoons.

For no reason at all other than I felt like it. It had no purpose. It wasn’t going to make any money. It wasn’t going to get me to new heights. I wasn’t part of some plan of becoming a great artist.

It was just something I enjoyed doing.

I’ve been drawing them for three days now. Who knows what’s going to happen next.

If you have nothing to say, it’s okay. Although the silence can be scary, just enjoy it while it lasts. It’s time to play.

A good website can determine whether your business becomes a success or fails.

Do you have a website which doesn’t attract visitors?

Do your visitors leave your site without buying your products?

Do you need a website, but don’t know what makes a website attract customers? Or not sure how to get started quickly and without spending lots of money?

I’m offering a coaching program right now that gives you a website that speaks to your customers without having to worry about the technical stuff.

1. An overall strategy

We start out by taking a look at your current situation – where you want to go and the shortest possible path to get there. We also look at your beliefs – what are your customers’ problems and frustrations and how do you solve them best.

This strategy will be based on assumptions about your customers’ needs. In other words, it’s still only a theory and it’s time for an experiment which will determine whether the theory holds: customer interviews.

2. Interview your customers

Through a series of interviews with your clients you get out of your head and your beliefs are tested. You’ll quickly discover false beliefs and get a much deeper understanding of your customers’ problems and needs. Through these interviews, you also learn to communicate your concepts, you learn more about how they see your strengths and why they just come to you.

3. A plan for your website.

With the new wisdom you’ve gained, we revise your strategy and begin to develop a process for your website that describes in detail how you’ll attract visitors and convert them to customers.

4. The technical stuff

I now build your website. The result will be a website that is both easy to update with new content, expand with additional features and change the design on. If you don’t have a design ready for your new website, I can refer you to a designer. When the design is ready, I put it on your new website.

5. Success!

We review your new website together and talk about any needs for adjustments. Then I give you a thorough introduction to how you can easily maintain it with new content.

The result is a website that is easy to maintain and attracts customers to your business. At the same time you will, as a result of the process you’ve been through, have a much deeper understanding of your customers and their needs.

Book a free coaching session

The easiest way to get started with the coaching program, is to book a free 30-minute coaching session with me. At this session, we create a clear vision for how you can attract more customers to your website. In addition, it is also a good opportunity for us to find out if we’re a good match.

Steve Pavlina has written more than 900 articles about personal development on his website stevepavlina.com and he’s giving them all away for free. More than 2 million people visit his website every month.

How did he do this without spending huge sums on marketing and promotion? By having the courage to connect deeply with himself and generously sharing what he had to give. That, and a lot of hard work.

This is the power of sharing with others from the heart. It’s passionate and generous. It’s an act of bravery.

You don’t need millions of visitors, though. It’s not a numbers game. It’s about attracting like-minded people and building a community around your passion. A community of customers and friends.

People that buy from you. People that help you. People that you do projects with. People that you have fun with.

You don’t need to join anyone’s organization to do your work. You don’t need to convince anyone to give you that dream job.

The people that share your passion and the tools to connect with them are there. They need you and what you have to give.

Everything you do becomes charged with spiritual power when you live in alignment with yourself. Those magic moments of inspiration and enthusiasm, of feeling energized, alert and clearheaded, those are moments of alignment. Your best ideas and inspirations will come to you at this level of high awareness.

The reason we’re not in this state most of the time, is that it’s an incredibly difficult shift to make. Because we’re brought up in a culture that values busyness over happiness, outer purpose over inner purpose, we’re used to focusing on just getting things done.

Instead of trying to align ourselves, we’re used to focusing on staying productive by trying to cram in as much as possible per day. Staying busy makes us feel productive and, more importantly, makes us look productive to the outside. Most of all we don’t feel ourselves as much.

The result is that our long-term productivity decays and at the same time we end up feeling stressed and unhappy. We’re always in this struggle with ourselves for more energy, trying to get more done.

Alignment is a shift of focus from outer to inner. This doesn’t mean to forget everything that needs to get done. It means working from the inside and out.

Start your day by aligning yourself: close your eyes, feel your feet on the floor, follow your breath for a few moments, sense the silence around you. Then open to your heart. Get in touch with your own love, joy and creativity from this place. Sense it. Go deeper into the heart and sense how the more you connect with yourself, the more you realize how much more you are than just this body, than just these thoughts. Feel your connectedness with other humans, your oneness. Stay in this place for a while.

By the end of this exercise, open up to any inspirations that might come through to you. Then begin your work while staying connected with this state of higher vibration. Whenever you feel it slipping, just let go for a moment, close your eyes and connect with it again. It’s still there. The more you do this, the easier it will become.

Another simple and powerful way to align yourself is to do things you enjoy – “follow your fun!” as Aaron Ross puts it. Think about what brings you enjoyment – activities, people, places – and then find ways to do more of it. Making your enjoyment a higher priority than whatever you feel like you need to get done right now, is an act of love towards yourself.

An act of love, towards yourself and others, is always the shortest path towards alignment.

Aaron wrote about his 10-step morning routine the other day and it’s a really inspiring post. There are several ideas in it that I’m going to experiment with the next few weeks and maybe include in my own routine.

My 6-Step Morning Personal Success Routine

Get 7-8 hours of sleep, which usually means waking up between 6 and 7 am.

Take a shower.

Make myself a smoothie and some matcha tea (I really love this stuff!)

Do my alignment exercise, writing down any inspirations.

Decide on today’s 3 most important tasks.

Start working.

One thing that has really made a difference in my routine has been doing the alignment exercise. It’s a simple meditation that allows me to release myself from any lower states of worry, stress, etc. and get myself into a state of awareness while aligning myself with the work I’m about to do. It goes something like this…

Alignment exercise

I close my eyes, feel my feet against the floor, take a few deep breaths and relax.

I open my heart, I feel love for myself, for others and for the work I’m going to do today.

I visualize the vision I have for the work I’m about to do. It could for example be a website I’m working on, like this blog. When I see it clearly, I fill it with energy by visualizing a stream of love and power flowing into it and surrounding it.

Finally I sit in silence for a few moments. Usually important insights or ideas for the project come to me at this point and I make sure to write them down right away.

When I’m done with this exercise I feel alert and at peace. It has a dramatic effect on the work I do the rest of the day, especially if I make an effort to connect with that energy of awareness from time to time.

The steps are not important, they are what currently work for me. Experiment and come up with your own exercise of alignment. The important thing is to connect with yourself at a deeper level and then let love and awareness flow into your work from that place of higher vibration.

Because of the Internet it’s never been easier to connect with other people. It’s never been easier to share our ideas. The ideas that matter are the ones that touch us deeply and when we share those ideas, we have the power to change the world. In a day, in a week, in a month.

Organizations, ranks and titles used to matter. What matters now are the passionate ideas we share with others and the groups that connect around them.

It’s how Wikipedia got created, it’s how Barack Obama got elected, it’s the reason Apple is so successful. They’re all connecting a group of people around an idea they passionately care about.

The ideas that connect people come from a sacred place, from the essence of our being. It’s by connecting with that place in ourselves and expressing it that we start creating abundance for ourselves and others.

This is our inner leadership.

We have all been trained to avoid it. We’ve been told we needed to sacrifice enjoyment for a career, our passion for stability. That we had to stay busy, that we had to watch what we said.

It used to be that way, but in a connected world hungry for change it’s no longer true.

Inner leadership is aligning yourself with enjoyment, passion and strength. Inner leadership is generously sharing with others from that place of power and receiving in abundance.
